PM Modi underlined the cultural projects as a reflection of India’s resurgent confidence and identity.
“Today India is witnessing a remarkable cultural renaissance, with the restoration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the grand redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and the expansion of Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain,” the Prime Minister exclaimed.
Addressing a large gathering of devotees and spiritual leaders, he said, “All these reflect the awakening of our nation, which is reviving its spiritual heritage with new strength.”
He emphasised this sentiment, stating, “Today’s India is carrying forward its cultural identity with new resolve and renewed confidence.” The Prime Minister asserted that this resurgence will inspire future generations to remain connected to their roots.
The Prime Minister’s remarks on cultural revival came as he participated in the historic anniversary of the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math, an institution following the Dvaita Vedanta tradition that has served the community for five and a half centuries.
During the event, PM Modi unveiled a 77-foot-tall bronze statue of Prabhu Shri Ram. He also inaugurated a Ramayana Theme Park Garden, a museum, and a 3D theatre developed by the Math.
The Prime Minister drew a connection between the Math’s long-standing tradition and the nation’s contemporary efforts. “In the past 550 years, the institution has faced many upheavals, with changing eras… yet the Math never lost its direction. Instead, the Math emerged as a guiding centre for people, and its greatest identity is that while rooted in history, it has continued to move with the times,” PM Modi noted. He added that the spirit of the Math, which connects sadhana (spiritual practice) with service and tradition with public welfare, remains vibrant today.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that he had the privilege of hoisting the Dharma Dhwaja atop the magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya just three days before unveiling the grand statue of Lord Shri Ram in Goa.
PM Modi presented nine appeals or resolutions to the gathering, urging them to contribute to the vision of a Developed India (Viksit Bharat). These resolutions included:
Conserving water and protecting rivers; Participating in the “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” campaign by planting trees; Committing to a cleanliness mission in all areas; Adopting Swadeshi and embracing the “Vocal for Local” mantra; Promoting ‘Desh Darshan’ to understand different parts of the country; Integrating natural farming into life; Adopting a healthy lifestyle, including embracing millets (‘Shri Anna’) and reducing oil consumption; Embracing yoga and sports; and Assisting the poor in some form.
The Prime Minister further stressed that the path to a developed India “goes through unity,” and the Math’s primary mission of connecting people and building a bridge between tradition and modernity makes it a major inspiration centre for the nation’s future journey.
