World Sanskrit Day is observed to promote and preserve the ancient language, which has contributed significantly to various disciplines, including philosophy, science, and literature. The day is an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of individuals and organizations working to popularize Sanskrit.
PM Modi highlighted the government’s efforts to promote Sanskrit, including the establishment of the Central Sanskrit University, Sanskrit teaching centers, and providing grants to Sanskrit scholars.
