Continuing its pursuit of scientific excellence and innovation, the Patanjali Research Foundation has once again demonstrated national pride by winning the First Prize in the Private Industry Category at the esteemed Dr. P. D. Sethi National HPTLC Awards 2025.

Remarkably, the organisation also received the same accolade last year, highlighting a consecutive streak of achievements.

This esteemed award has been bestowed upon the organisation for its exceptional research on Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) seed oil extracted using the SCFE Technique, highlighting its strong antimicrobial and antibiofilm properties.

On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna stated that it is not merely a recognition but a testament to years of dedication, scientific rigour, and unwavering commitment by the scientists at Patanjali. He emphasised that this recognition honours the steadfast efforts of scientists dedicated to providing safe, effective, and accessible solutions for global well-being.

Speaking about the achievement, Dr Anurag Varshney, Lead Scientist at Patanjali Research Foundation, stated that the Dr P. D. Sethi National HPTLC Awards is a distinguished platform that honours excellence in analytical chemistry nationwide. Winning this award for the second consecutive year is a proud milestone and reflects the organisation’s robust scientific foundation.

He further added that, based on this innovative research on Amla seeds, the organisation is being honoured with the “Award of Merit” by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the 10th International “Waste to Worth” Conference and the 4R Awards 2025 edition.

It is noteworthy that these substantial research contributions regarding Amla seed oil have also attained international acclaim. Both these research studies by Patanjali were published concurrently in the esteemed journal Applied Food Research, by Elsevier.
