Opposition together with NDA allies should expose conspiracy behind SIR: Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has appealed to all Opposition parties, and even to all NDA allies, to unite to expose the BJP’s grand conspiracy to delete votes of genuine electorate through Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the country .

“The BJP will first destroy those parties that consider them their ally. Therefore, we appeal to every citizen of our country to abandon all work and stop the SIR fraud,” he cautioned the NDA alliance in a statement on Friday.

Yadav, calling the SIR a fraud on democracy, said, “The public should be aware, today votes are being cut; tomorrow, names will be removed from farms, land, houses, ration cards, caste, and reservations, and then they will reach to the accounts and lockers of the middle class. This is a huge conspiracy against the countrymen, which will lead to a situation worse than British slavery. This is the time to wake up and save every vote,” he warned.

He stated that complaints have been received that district magistrates (DMs)/district election officers, additional district magistrates (Elections), SDMs (EROs), and supervisors are pressuring BLOs to submit voter enumeration forms under the third option. “By submitting voters who are under the third option, BLOs will send notices to millions of voters upon publication of the draft voter list on December 9, requesting documents from them for verification. Consequently, the names of most voters will be deleted from the final voter list on February 7, 2026,” he claimed.

Yadav demanded that, given the numerous difficulties associated with filling out enumeration forms, the publication of the draft roll (voter list) on December 9, 2025, be extended by three months, allowing for the submission of new enumeration forms as required.

He said the BJP, its allies, the BJP government, and some corrupt individuals within the Election Commission are hijacking the entire electoral system. “Let us all come together to save the country from the blatant looting by these BJP members and their anti-family allies,” he said, appealing to all the political parties to join hands against the SIR.
