Congress MLA Babu Jandel said that the compensation has to be paid at the rate of Rs 16,000 per hectare, but many farmers have not received it.
State Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma was not able to give a satisfactory reply and admitted that the relief funds had not yet reached the bank accounts of some farmers.
The opposition created a ruckus and walked out of the house. They kept on raising slogans outside the house too.
Earlier, Congress MLA Sunil Uikey from the Junnardeo seat came dressed as a monkey and also wore a monkey mask on his face. He also carried a razor and had a placard pasted on his dress, which said ‘State government’. He mocked the BJP state government as a monkey that has been handed a razor in its hand.
Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar alleged that this ‘monkey’ is snatching jobs, killing children in hospitals, creating a nuisance, and disrupting law and order.
