A six-member Chinese delegation led by DU Feijin, member of municipal committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister-in-charge of Publicity of the Beijing Government, on Friday called on Public Relations Secretary, Delhi Government, Jayadev Sarangi, to enhance cooperation between Beijing and Delhi in the field of publicity.

Before exchanging views with Sarangi, the delegation met Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Sarangi shared information about the set-up of the Directorate of Information and Publicity with the Chinese team. He informed the delegates about various modes of publicity which the directorate had adopted for the city government.

DU Feijin stated that the delegates were on a visit to Delhi with an aim to improve the relationship between the two cities on publicity and social security.

Mutual cooperation would help in improving various developmental works, he said. Feijin stressed the need for strengthening bilateral relations and furthering cultural exchanges between the two countries in general, and Delhi and Beijing in particular.

Sarangi emphasised the need for such interactions between two or more cities so that dissemination of information among the common citizens may be enhanced.
