The creation of additional OISF battalions was necessitated in the wake of Odisha government’s focus on industrial growth. With the establishment of new industries after the Make in Odisha 2025 initiative, security of industrial clusters is being prioritised, and the creation of additional OISF battalions is a timely step in this regard, the CMO statement concluded.
