It is a no-brainer that every child has the right to basic education, healthcare, and nutrition.

For the purpose, many Non-Profit organisations (NPOs) have come as a blessing for the children in different sectors, be it education, healthcare, and nutrition among others.

Childcare is one of the most discussed topics in the current setup as there still are many children at the local, regional, national and international level who do not get to have one meal of time. Right to education, nutrition and basic health facilities are far for them. The main reason is the economical standard of a family who cannot afford to provide a stable and healthy upbringing.

To offer help and overcome the situation, non-profit organizations are addressing this problem at a larger scale.

Here are 5 top NPOs working towards the cause of childcare:

Miracle Foundation: Miracle Foundation is an international non-profit organization that provides care and support to vulnerable orphaned children. The organization claims to help those children who don’t have parents and other vulnerable institutionalized children by finding a safe, loving family for every child by 2040.

Smile Foundation: Smile Foundation, an Indian NGO, directly benefits over 750, 000 children and their families every year through welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India, say the sources from the NGO.

Akshaya Patra Foundation: Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools, says the foundation, adding that it also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.

Feeding India: Feeding India is a not-for-profit social organization which aims to solve the problem of hunger, malnutrition and food waste in the country, as they claim. They also say that they channelize extra nutritious food from individuals, weddings, restaurants, corporate offices to the people who really need it and have no means or access food and also serve freshly cooked food or raw grains to their partnered shelter homes and beneficiaries.
