Expressing displeasure over the slow progress, he stated that the campaign should be run in mission mode and should reach each and every eligible voter.
The CM also directed that special attention be paid to filling out forms to ensure a transparent voter list is prepared by December 11. He warned that the names of ineligible or deceased individuals should not remain on the voter list. Such names should be removed immediately, saying keeping the names of anyone who does not reside in the village or who has passed away on the list is an injustice to the electoral process.
CM Yogi also said that during season of weddings and social events, party officials must prioritize their priorities. He suggested that other people be sent to represent them at private events, while devoting more time to the SIR campaign.
He said a transparent and updated voter list is the foundation of democracy’s strength, and therefore, it should not be taken lightly under any circumstances.
