In the aftermath of the Delhi car bomb blast, security and intelligence agencies have launched extensive raids across Uttar Pradesh and several other states. The UP ATS and NIA are also actively probing the suspected terror network believed to be behind the explosion.

Meanwhile, the UP ATS carried out midnight raids in two villages of the Amroha district and detained two suspects, Salman from Atarasi and Nasir from Ujhari. The duo is being questioned in connection with the Delhi blast.

On the other hand, teams from the NIA and ATS reached Kanpur to probe Dr. Shahin Shahid’s possible connections within the medical college and her residence in Chaman Ganj. Dr. Shahin Shahid is a doctor from Lucknow who completed her MBBS and MD from Prayagraj before working at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur.

According to sources, Shahin is a key operative in the female wing of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror network. She reportedly confessed to stockpiling explosives for over two years and planning nationwide attacks with her associates.

Dr. Shahin was arrested on November 10 by the Jammu and Kashmir Police from Faridabad, the same day the Delhi blast occurred. The following day, a joint team of the ATS and the J&K Police raided her ancestral home in Khandaari Bazaar, Lucknow, and her brother Dr. Parvez Ansari’s residence in Madiyaon.

While nothing significant was found at the house, investigators recovered three keypad phones, a hard disk, a car, a motorcycle, and several electronic gadgets from Dr. Parvez’s home. Forensic analysis of these items has revealed contacts with several foreign numbers, suggesting possible links to the wider terror network.

Sources said Dr. Parvez deliberately used keypad phones to avoid digital tracking and was in frequent contact with Dr. Mujammil Shakeel and Dr. Shahin Shahid, both suspected to be part of the same module.

Investigators have confirmed that the recovered mobile phones were actively used to maintain contact with operatives in Jammu, while the international calling card enabled secure communication with handlers based abroad. Most alarmingly, Ansari had developed a custom signal-blocking system specifically designed to prevent law enforcement from tracing or intercepting his calls and messages.

Sources further confirmed that officers discovered a computer equipped with a concealed secondary disk drive, which experts believe may contain encrypted files, operational plans, financial records, or recruitment data critical to the terror network. Forensic digital teams are now working around the clock to decrypt and analyze the contents of this hidden storage, hoping to uncover further links between the Faridabad module, the Red Fort attack, and potential sleeper cells across northern India.

In addition to the electronic arsenal, the ATS recovered three long-bladed knives, raising serious concerns about their intended use. Authorities are examining whether these weapons were stockpiled for future attacks, training purposes, or self-defense within the module. Ansari’s vehicle, registered in Saharanpur, was also seized after intelligence linked it to Adil Ahmad, another key suspect from Anantnag arrested on November 7 by Jammu and Kashmir Police while working undercover at Famous Hospital in Saharanpur.

Dr Shahin and Parvez’s elder brother, Mohammad Shoaib Ansari, denying the terror allegations, stated that he has had no contact with Dr. Shahin for four years and with Dr. Parvez for three years. “My brother and sister cannot be terrorists. We have full faith that the investigation will reveal the truth,” he told the media.

The UP ATS has also sent a team to Gujarat to interrogate three terror suspects arrested there recently, two of whom belong to Uttar Pradesh. Agencies believe the Delhi blast, Shahin’s arrest, and multiple seizures across states are interconnected parts of a larger terror conspiracy.

The NIA and ATS are jointly investigating the case, analyzing electronic evidence to trace the funding and communication networks of the suspected terror module.

With high-security alerts in force across Uttar Pradesh, intensive search operations continue in major cities including Lucknow, Saharanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, and Aligarh.

Meanwhile, in Hapur, police from Pilkhuwa Kotwali arrested three people during a vehicle checking drive at Paratapur intersection. Two of them, identified as Shobhit Kumar, son of Subedar, and Vijendra Singh, son of Ram Ratan Singh—both residents of Kapsa Kala village in Sitapur district—were caught carrying suspicious explosive material (sulphur). Around 1.5 kg of the substance was recovered from Shobhit, and 1 kg from Vijendra. Samples from both bags were sealed for forensic testing.
