LeT associate nabbed from New Delhi railway station
The man has been identified as Riyaz Ahmed, who is a retired army soldier, and was nabbed on Sunday from the New Delhi Railway Station.
After almost a decade and a half, the work to make New Delhi railway station a world-class facility is going to start from April. The Railway Board has prepared an operational roadmap for passenger trains.
A senior Railway Board official 300 passenger trains operate daily from New Delhi Railway Station. As many as 60 to 100 trains will be affected once the construction work starts as per the first phase plan.
Trains coming to the capital from different parts of the country will be run from different stations in Delhi and the NCR.

The official said that according to plan, in the first phase, the construction work will take place between platform number one and five. The work on platform number six to nine and platform number 10 to 16 will be started in the second phase.
He said that there will be no restriction on the operation of premium trains like Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Duronto Express and Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi station.
These premium trains will be run from platform number six to 16. The official said that the Railways’ Mail, Express, Superfast, Intercity, and passenger trains will mainly be run from the Old Delhi Railway Station.
Some trains will be run from Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Shakurbasti, Tilak Bridge, Safdarjung, Sabzi Mandi, Bijwasan, and Delhi Cantonment railway stations.
The Railway Board has also prepared a plan for widening and diversion of roads at small stations so that passengers do not have to face the problem of jams during peak hours. Arrangements will also be made for ticket counters, parking, waiting for the hall, benches, fans, water coolers, food stalls, and so on.
