On the welfare front, the NDA has promised a Bhakshya Arogya Suraksha Card for women from poor and BPL families, offering a monthly recharge of ₹2,500 that can be used for groceries and medicines.
In addition, a strengthened welfare pension of ₹3,000 per month has been promised for women heads of poor households, widows, and senior citizens above 70 years of age.
The alliance has also pledged two free LPG cylinders annually during Onam and Christmas, and 20,000 litres of free water per month for every household, signalling an attempt to broaden its appeal across communities.
The manifesto also proposes establishing an AIIMS in Kerala, along with a high-speed railway network connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur.
The NDA has promised to promote Thiruvananthapuram as an IT and innovation capital; Kochi as India’s shipbuilding hub; Kozhikode as a centre for healthcare and medical innovation; Thrissur as a cultural tourism capital; Kollam as an internationally competitive blue economy cluster prioritising marine exports; and Kannur as a defence innovation hub. The alliance emphasised that these sectoral hubs are expected to generate substantial employment opportunities.
The manifesto also addresses the management of major places of worship, including Sabarimala Temple and Guruvayur Temple, promising protection through revamped Devaswom Boards. It further states that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will investigate the gold theft case at Sabarimala.
Regarding the Mullaperiyar Dam, the BJP pledged to ensure water supply for Tamil Nadu while safeguarding Kerala’s interests.
