The National Conference (NC) on Monday has again elected Dr. Farooq Abdullah, as its president in view of the changing political landscape.
The 85- years old veteran politician, was unanimously re-elected at a party meeting held in Srinagar in the morning. The meeting, further, marked the 117th birth anniversary of Farooq Abdullah’s father and party founder Sheikh Abdullah.
Abdullah had recently resigned from the post to pave way for younger generation. But no young leader came forward to contest the polls. All party leaders, unanimously elected him again as the party chief.
