Former Bihar Minister Narendra Narayan Yadav was unanimously elected Deputy Speaker of the state legislative Assembly here on Thursday.
Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar announced Yadav’s unanimous election during the pre-lunch sitting of the lower house. He said that Yadav, who was also serving as the Protem Speaker for the ongoing session, was elected unanimously as no other candidate had filed a nomination for the post of Deputy Speaker.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary proposed Yadav’s name for the post, which was seconded by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary.
Kumar expressed his gratitude towards Yadav for his unanimous election to the post of Deputy Speaker.
