Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, on Thursday, said that the ‘Namo Toy Bank’ initiative will bring joy to underprivileged children by collecting and distributing toys donated by school-going kids.

Birla, who today inaugurated the ‘Namo Toy Bank’ at Paridhan Uphaar Kendra in Kota, Rajasthan, said, “The smile on a child’s face is a source of new energy and inspiration for all of us.”

Emphasizing the importance of ensuring every child has access to happiness and self-respect, he said, “Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life, our resolve is to ensure that no child in the Kota-Bundi parliamentary constituency is deprived.”

The Namo Toy Bank has received thousands of old toys from school children in the city, promoting reuse and recycling.

Birla emphasized that this initiative is “initiated by children for children,” fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion among young minds.

He further highlighted that the toy bank will develop human values like service, leadership, and sensitivity in children, guiding their lives and strengthening society.

Also speaking at the occasion, MLA Sandeep Sharma praised the initiative, saying it reflects Speaker Birla’s sensitivity towards society and his commitment to caring for every section of society.

It is a unique initiative that not only brings joy to underprivileged children but also instills valuable life lessons in the young donors.
