A young Muslim man from Madhya Pradesh has offered to donate one of his kidneys to Hindu Seer Premanand Maharaj (56), who, according to media reports, is suffering from failure of both his kidneys.

The Muslim man, Arif Khan Chisti, has written a letter to Premanand Maharaj, expressing his desire to donate a kidney. Chisti, a resident of the Narmadapuram district of MP, has sent the letter to the Hindu seer through the office of the Narmadapuram Collector, Sonia Meena. He has also sent it by email.

Arif lives in the Nyas Colony in Itarsi. He got married last year and has three elder brothers and a father in his family. He has studied till Class XII and now works online.

In his letter, Arif has lauded Premanand Maharaj as a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity in India. “The presence of saints like you is necessary in the country’s current environment of hatred”, Arif has written.

“Whether I live or not, your life is very precious for this world”, Arif has stated. “I voluntarily offer one kidney of mine to you. Please accept this small token from me”, Arif has emotionally requested Premanand Maharaj.

According to media reports, Premanand Maharaj is suffering from Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease, due to which both his kidneys have failed.

Premanand Maharaj is a devotee of Radha Rani. His ashram is in Vrindavan, and he delivers spiritual discourses.
