Madhya Pradesh would soon launch its own ‘State Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission’, with the aim of strengthening governance systems and improving management.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav made the announcement, stating that efforts are being made in the state to make citizen services and facilities more citizen-friendly through good governance.

He informed that to achieve this, innovations are being encouraged by adopting new technologies. He emphasised that Artificial Intelligence is one of the most promising sectors of the present era, and the government is moving forward to enhance transparency and accountability in governance and administration, and AI will now be utilised in this direction.

He stated that the mission is being launched with the objective of accelerating good governance and development in the state while making the administrative system more effective, transparent and citizen-centric. Under the State AI Mission, it will be possible to identify potential risks in advance in important sectors such as agriculture, health and nutrition and disaster management.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that the mission will be implemented in phases. During the financial year 2026–27, infrastructure for AI technology will be developed, and existing AI initiatives will be integrated to strengthen the foundation. In 2027–28, successful use cases will be implemented across various departments on a larger scale. From 2028–29, AI will be developed as a permanent institutional capacity in governance.
