The Chief Minister directed that events promoting social harmony should be organised in every district. Conscious and socially active citizens should be invited to these events, and discussions should be held to foster a positive environment for social harmony.
Dr Yadav emphasised that Diwali is a festival for everyone. He urged public representatives and officials to celebrate the festival at old-age homes, poor localities and orphanages, sharing the joy of Diwali with the underprivileged. He also suggested visiting labour grounds or markets the next day to celebrate with workers.
He said that to preserve the state’s cultural, religious, and social heritage, Govardhan Puja should be celebrated with great enthusiasm on October 21 and 22 at major public places and cowsheds in all districts. CM Dr Yadav stated that the goal is to increase milk production in the state from nine per cent to 20 per cent.
He added that activities should be organised to encourage natural farming and animal husbandry. Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, office-bearers of urban bodies, panchayat representatives and local public representatives should actively participate in these events. He also instructed that local cultural groups be involved and the events be celebrated as festivals. The Animal Husbandry Department will serve as the nodal department for these programmes.
The Chief Minister instructed that collectors must take immediate cognisance of sensitive incidents and news reports. It is their responsibility to promptly inform the concerned minister, local MP and MLA about the factual situation and ensure on-site inspection when necessary. District collectors should conduct fact-checks and issue clarifications if required. Ministers, MPs and MLAs should also share accurate information regarding misleading or socially disruptive news, he added.
CM Dr Yadav directed the police to maintain presence in densely populated areas and key intersections, ensuring patrols to instil a sense of security among citizens.
