The INDIA Alliance leaders have said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s theory of Bangladeshi infiltration is a false propaganda to cover up complete failure of Nitish Kumar-BJP government during its 20-year-rule in Bihar and to deprive people of their voting rights.

CPI (ML) General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya said that during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, not a single Bangladeshi infiltrator has been found so far.

He said: “The prime minister is misleading the public. While name of migrant workers, women, and minorities are being removed from the voter list, Modi Ji is making a failed attempt—just like he did during the Jharkhand elections—to raise the bogey of Bangladeshi infiltration.”

“The truth is that not even a single piece of evidence of infiltration has surfaced to date. Despite this, the government is engaged in false propaganda. This entire exercise is a conspiracy to deprive people of their voting rights,” he added.

RJD MP Sanjay Yadav said that Narendra Modi has been the prime minister for 11 years, while, except for a brief period, his party has been in power in Bihar for the past 20 years.

He said: “If Bangladeshis have infiltrated, it means you are weak, incompetent, and have no understanding of governance. After all, how did infiltrators come into Bihar? If they did, then ‘you’ alone are responsible.”

Taking a dig at the PM’s ‘Demography Mission’, the RJD leader said that the “prime minister does not understand the demographics of Bihar.”

He said: “Bihar is the youngest state in the country. 58% of Bihar’s population falls in the 18 to 25-year age group. Despite this, there are only seven colleges per one lakh people in Bihar. There are 534 blocks in Bihar, and 398 of them still don’t have a degree college—even though your government has been in power here for 20 years. In the last 10 years, you haven’t given Bihar even a single Kendriya Vidyalaya or Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.”

He asked: “What grudge do you hold against Bihar, which has given you so much? In 2014, Bihar gave you 33 out of 40 MPs, 39 MPs in 2019, and 30 MPs in 2024. Yet your step-motherly treatment of Bihar continues.”
