Later in the day, PM Modi held a bilateral meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit.
Earlier on Sunday, he held a similar meeting with Xi, where both leaders agreed to take the India-China bilateral relations forward with mutual respect, trust and sensitivity.
The Prime Minister will also address the plenary session of the SCO Summit where he will “outline India’s approach to fostering regional cooperation under the SCO umbrella.”
The Auckland event also celebrated 100 years of sporting ties between India and New Zealand, with Modi highlighting Chandrayaan cooperation, rugby partnerships, and the contribution of the Indian-origin community to New Zealand's public life.
The Auckland agreements propose direct flights, payment-system connectivity, an annual maritime dialogue and wider cooperation in education, agriculture, sports and disaster management.
The two leaders also witnessed the exchange of multiple MoUs, while Prime Minister Modi received a traditional Maori powhiri ceremonial welcome and is scheduled to meet business leaders and address the Indian diaspora during his visit.
