Someone from the DJ team notices the fire and rushes to remove a laptop. As the fire began to grow, and the DJ stopped the song, the dancer turned back. “Oh my god!” she exclaimed. In the background, a person is heard saying, “Aag laga di hai aapne (you have set the stage on fire)”.

Within seconds, the fire intensifies, and those present can be seen rushing towards the exit.

At least 25 people, including 4 tourists, were killed, and six others were injured in one of the worst fire tragedies in the tourist hub of Goa.

According to preliminary investigation, the fire began on the first floor, and once the fire intensified, some panic-stricken people moved towards the basement, which also housed the club’s kitchen.

While some managed to escape, those who got trapped inside the basement died of suffocation.

The Goa government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident, and an FIR has been registered against the hotel’s managers and the owner.
