Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court Siddharth Mridul, accompanied by colleagues, convened a meeting with Governor Anusuiya Uikey on the premises of the Raj Bhavan.

During the meeting that took place on a Monday several issues, including fostering collaboration and addressing pressing matters concerning the state, were discussed.

At the meeting, a delegation led by Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul formally extended an invitation to the governor for the forthcoming 11th-anniversary celebration of the Manipur High Court. Scheduled to take place on March 23 at the City Convention Centre in Imphal, this anniversary event promises to be a momentous occasion marking the judiciary’s steadfast journey in upholding justice and the rule of law in the region.

Notably, it is the first time the governor of Manipur will grace this auspicious event, underscoring the significance attached to judicial milestones within the state.

Beyond the ceremonial aspect, the meeting delved into substantive discussions regarding the prevailing impasse between communities within Manipur.

Recognising the importance of restoring peace and normalcy, Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul and his colleagues engaged in constructive dialogue with Governor Anusuiya Uikey to explore viable measures for conflict resolution and social harmony.

The exchange of ideas and perspectives aimed at fostering a conducive environment for peaceful coexistence and progress in Manipur.

Furthermore, the deliberations encompassed the joint efforts undertaken by the Raj Bhavan and the Manipur High Court to supplement relief initiatives amidst challenging circumstances.

Acknowledging the socio-economic complexities facing the state, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative action, leveraging their respective resources and expertise to address the needs of affected communities and facilitate the process of rehabilitation and reconciliation.
