Reacting to the acquittal of all individuals accused in the Malegaon blast case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanded a public apology from Congress for its stand on the case.

In a post on X on Thursday, the chief minister stated, “The acquittal of all accused in the Malegaon blast case is a living proclamation of ‘Satyameva Jayate’ (truth alone triumphs).”

A Special NIA Court on Thursday acquitted all the individuals accused of blast at a mosque in Malegaon, Maharashtra, including former BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, Colonel Prasad Purohit, Ramesh Upadhyay, Ajay Rahirkar, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, Sameer Kulkarni, and Sudhakar Dhar Dwivedi.

He remarked that the judgment reaffirms what he described as the anti national, anti-justice, and anti-Sanatan stance of the Congress, which, according to him, invented the misleading term “saffron terrorism” and, in doing so, maligned the reputation of countless Sanatani devotees, saints, and patriots.

Yogi emphasized that the Congress should accept responsibility for what he called its “inexcusable misdeed” and offer a formal apology to the country.

Echoing similar sentiments, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya welcomed the court’s judgement, saying Congress’ attempt to malign Hindus with the fabricated idea of “saffron terrorism” has collapsed.

In a post on X, Maurya said, “The verdict in the Malegaon blast case is commendable. It has demolished Congress’ malicious attempt to construct the theory of saffron terrorism. During the UPA regime at the Centre and under the Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra, innocent Hindus were arrested and pressured to falsely confess, while the real culprits were ignored.”

He accused Congress and the Gandhi family of being historically antagonistic towards Hindus and targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which, he said, embodies the spirit of nationalism that Congress has consistently opposed.
