Digital war ignites in UP: BJP and SP leaders exchange barbs on social media
Politics in Uttar Pradesh has turned into a digital battleground, with leaders from the ruling BJP and the opposition Samajwadi Party trading barbs on social media.
As many as 75 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) including eight additional directors general (ADGs), two range inspectors-general (IGs), and 22 superintendent of police (SPs) were shifted.

Ahead of the assembly polls due later this year, the Gehlot Government in Rajasthan transferred as many as 75 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) including eight additional directors general (ADGs), two range inspectors-general (IGs), and 22 superintendent of police (SPs).
Two ADGs, Ravi Prakash Meharda and Janga Srinivasan, have been promoted to the post of director general (DG). Meharda will take over a newly-created cyber crime cell as DG, while Sriniwas would be the DG, Police Training.

Dinesh M N will now be ADG-Crime replacing Meharda. Ajay Lamba will take over the post of IG- Udaipur, Kunwar Rashtradeep will be Additional Commissioner Law and Order at PHQ, an official order of Department of Home said here last midnight.

A total of 22 SPs have been transferred. Rajiv Prachar will be SP in Jaipur-Rural, Paris Deshmukh in Sri Ganganagar, Manoj Kumar in Dholpur, Anand Sharma in Alwar, Dr Kiran Kaing Siddhu in Jalore, Dharmendra Singh in Jodhpur Rural, Sharad Choudhary in Kota City, Rashi Dogra Dudi in DCP-East Jaipur, Karan Sharma in Sikar, Abhijeet Singh in Banswara, Tejswani Gautam in Bikaner, Anil Kumar in Bhiwadi, Harshwardhan Agarwala in Sawaimadhopur, Rajesh Meena in Churu, Dingat Anand in Barmer, Rajshree Raj Verma in Tonk, Amit Kumar in Pratapgarh, Sudhir Choudhary in Hanumangarh, Kundan Kanwaria in Dungarpur, Rajkumar Choudhary in Baran, and Sudhir Joshi in Rajsamand.
