The operation comes as part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing “Zero Tolerance” policy and intensified crackdown on narco-smuggling. Following the directions of the DGP Punjab, security agencies have scaled up surveillance across border districts to dismantle supply chains.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and the accused will be produced in court to seek police remand. Investigators aim to trace the forward and backward linkages of the consignment to identify the source and intended recipients of the drugs.
Police officials reiterated that the drive against drug peddlers will continue and urged the youth to stay away from illegal activities.
