Low voting again witnessed in 2nd phase of polling in UP
In the first phase of polling in 8 seats of UP, the overall polling percentage was around 61 %
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday night announced six more candidates including that of Pilibhit and Mirzapur.
The SP has announced 49 candidates of the party so far with one seat of Bhadoi to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) where Lalitesh Pati Tripathi will contest.
In the sixth list issued today, the SP has fielded Ziaur Rahman Burke from Sambhal, Manoj Chaudhary from Baghpat, Rahuv Awana from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bhagwat Saran Gangwar from Pilibhit, Rajeev Rai from Ghosi and Rajendra S Bind from Mirzapur.

Earlier in the day Apna Dal Kamerawadi President Krishna Patel had announced that her party candidates will contest from Mirzapur, Phulpur and Kaushambi Lok Sabha seats.
Mirzapur seat is represented by Krishna Patel’s daughter and Union Minister Anupriya Patel.
