The directorate began live announcement of Kerala Karunya Plus KN-255 lottery at 3 pm with a draw held at Gorky Bhawan in Thiruvananthapuram.

Karunya Plus KN 255 lottery carries a bumper prize of Rs 80 lakh, followed by Rs 10 lakh for second prize and Rs 1 lakh each for 10 winners of the third prize. The first prize was won by a ticket holder from Kozhikkode.

The price of a single Karunya Plus lottery ticket is Rs 40, while the entire book costs Rs 1,000.

The winners can claim the prize money from any lottery shop in Kerala if the amount is less than Rs 5,000. If the amount exceeds Rs 5,000, the tickets will have to be surrendered before a bank or the government lottery office with valid ID proofs. The winning tickets have to be surrendered within 30 days.
