Jammu and Kashmir: Migrant labourer from Bihar shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag
The victim, whom the police identified as Raju Sah of Bihar, succumbed to injuries during treatment.
In a case of terrorist committed atrocity, a civilian Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie of Magraypora was shot at on Friday evening near an Army Camp at Chhatargam in Kashmir.
Army spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said when the Army troops heard sound of firing, the Quick Reaction Team immediately rushed towards the direction of fire to find out what was happening. When the party reached the spot, they saw Ishfaq in a pool of blood. He had bullet injuries, one in head and the other in leg, and was immediately taken to Chhatargam hospital from where doctors shifted him to SMHS.
Initially, there were reports that Ishfaq had lobbed a grenade at an Army camp was shot at in retaliation. Colonel Kalia however said these reports were completely baseless.
