Amidst ongoing suspense on former Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Minister Kamal Nath joining the BJP, veteran BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that the doors of BJP are closed in Madhya Pradesh for leaders like Kamal Nath.

Speaking to mediapersons earlier, Vijayvargiya, the urban administration minister of MP, said, “We have decided that Kamal Nath will not be allowed in the BJP in Madhya Pradesh.”

Mr Vijayvargiya categorically denied any chance of allowing Nath entry into the MP BJP. “The doors of the BJP in MP are closed for leaders like Kamal Nath,” he maintained.

The senior minister, however, said that New Delhi could take any decision on that issue. “If the BJP in New Delhi decides to take Nath, then we cannot comment anything about that,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Congress Rajya Sabha member and Kamal Nath’s close friend Digvijaya Singh said on Sunday that he has been in regular contact with Kamal Nath ever since the rumours began and he was confident that Nath would not leave the Congress.

Mr Singh said in Bhopal that ”we all used to consider Kamal Nath as the third son of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (after late Sanjay Gandhi and late PM Rajiv Gandhi).

“Kamal Nath ji has always been with the Congress. He is a dedicated Congress leader and a pillar of strength for the party. He has got all posts in the Congress, including Chief Minister, Union Minister, AICC General Secretary and MP Congress Chief,” Mr Singh told some media persons.

“Kamal Nath’s character is such that he will not bow down to the pressure created on him through the ED, IT or CBI,” Mr Singh averred.

“The biggest denial of all such speculations is that Kamal Nath has still not joined the BJP or resigned from the Congress,” Digvijaya Singh maintained.
