Justice Kalpathi Rajendran Shriram was on Monday sworn in as the 43rd Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Shriram at a brief but impressive swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday afternoon.

Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant read out the warrant of appointment of Chief Justice Shriram issued by President Droupadi Murmu. The Chief Justice took the oath in English.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, several cabinet ministers, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Sharma, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Justice Shriram joined the bench in 2013 as a judge of the Bombay High Court and served until September 26, 2024.
He took over as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court on September 27, 2024, where he served until his transfer to the Rajasthan High Court.
He succeeds Chief Justice MM Srivastava, who has been transferred to the Madras High Court.
