Joint Secretary to the Commission, Rigzin Spalgon, on Tuesday said that the Commission, under the chairmanship of Justice Dr BS Chauhan, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, conducted its proceedings from 17 to 23 December and has recorded statements of CRPF, magistrates, and Ladakh Police.

He further said that the Commission has already collected and examined their written statements submitted earlier as part of the preliminary process.

The Joint Secretary said that in the next sitting to be held in the near future, the public will be called to record their statements before the Commission. He added that the dates for recording statements of individuals who have already submitted their affidavits will be announced in due course.
