Bihar’s ruling Janata Dal (United) leaders on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, stating that they have launched the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ to project themselves as prime minister and chief minister candidates.
JD(U) state spokesperson Nihora Prasad Yadav said, “Both leaders face serious corruption charges. The real motive behind the ‘Yatra’ is their hunger for power. They are misleading the people of Bihar to project themselves as candidates for PM and CM. This yatra is not about people’s rights but about selfishness and political ambition.”

He added that instead of staging political drama in the name of protecting voters’ rights, it would have been better if Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav had instructed their Booth-Level Agents (BLAs) to help rectify the voter list where eligible voters’ names had been wrongly removed.
JD(U) leader and Bihar’s Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar said that the INDIA Alliance is based purely on selfish interests and has no real connection with the public. He further claimed that the opposition is spreading lies through the Yatra to create confusion.
“Questioning the impartiality of the Election Commission is proof of the opposition’s petty politics,” he said.
JD(U) leader and Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that the Rahul-Tejashwi’ ‘Yatra’ will have no impact on the Bihar Assembly elections, as the NDA government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is working for the welfare of all communities.
He expressed confidence that the public will not be misled and that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the NDA will return to power with a massive majority.
