Security forces on Thursday arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist who was a close associate of the recently killed Pakistani terrorist Naved Jatt.
Based on credible input, a joint team of Srinagar and Ganderbal Police arrested the active militant of LeT, Zubair Shabir Bhat, from Kangan area of Ganderbal, said a police spokesman.
He was affiliated to proscribed outfit LeT and was a close associate of commander Naved Jatt, said the spokesman.

Bhat, he said, was involved in several acts of weapon snatching and other crimes including threatening of panchayat and municipal candidates in Anantnag and Kulgam districts recently.
He was also involved in planning attacks on the security establishments in the area including attacks on local police personnel deployed for duties inside the city, said the spokesman.
A huge quantity of incriminating material has been seized from Zubair, he said.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in the matter and further investigation is in progress.
