To enable pilgrims intending to undertake the Amarnath Yatra 2019, Governor Satya Pal Malik launched the online registration facility on a pilot basis on Wednesday.

Umang Narula, CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, said the pilot project for online registration had been launched on the directions of the board at its 36th meeting held on 7 March.

The Amarnath Yatra 2019 is commencing from 1 July, and the facility of online registration will be available to 500 intending pilgrims per day from both routes, i.e. 250 from Pahalgam and 250 from Baltal.

To avail the online registration facility, pilgrims will have to upload a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued by doctors or hospitals nominated for this purpose.

This will help in enumeration of Yatris and their tracking on real-time basis. For detailed procedure of online registration, a link has been given on the SASB website by the NIC.

The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board will closely monitor this pilot project and strive to make it successful so that online registration for the annual of pilgrimage could be increased in future.
