An IndiGo flight from Nagpur to Kolkata suffered a suspected bird strike, officials said on Tuesday.
Abid Ruhi, Senior Airport Director, Nagpur Airport, Maharashtra, confirmed the incident, saying, “There has been a suspected bird strike on IndiGo’s 6E812 Nagpur-Kolkata flight.”

The airport authorities are currently analysing the incident, and further details are expected once the inspection of the plane is completed.
“We are trying to analyse what has happened. More details awaited,” said Ruhi.
According to reports, there were 272 passengers aboard the plane when the incident took place. However, none of them were injured as the plane made an emergency landing.
Meanwhile, IndiGo has issued an advisory for passengers in Delhi. The airline said that steady showers in the national capital are affecting the usual travel times, urging passengers to check their flight status before heading out.
