India sets three Guinness World Records under ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign

India has set three Guinness World Record titles under the nationwide “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (SNSPA), launched by the Union Health Ministry, according to an official document from the Ministry released on Friday.

The government highlighted that the records include 3.21 crore registrations on a healthcare platform within a month, 9.94 lakh online breast cancer screenings in a week, and 1.25 lakh vital signs screenings in a week at the state level — marking an unprecedented scale of public participation in health initiatives.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from September 17 to October 2, in conjunction with Poshan Maah, the campaign focused on strengthening early detection, ensuring access to essential health services, and promoting healthy lifestyles among women, adolescents, and children. “Our mothers and sisters — our women power — are the foundation of our nation’s progress. If a mother is healthy, the whole family stays healthy,” the Prime Minister said.

Expanding on the vast reach of the project, the ministry noted that the initiative reached every district across India, organizing 19.7 lakh health camps and drawing over 11 crore participants. “Over 20 central ministries, medical colleges, and private institutions joined the effort, making it a ‘Whole-of-Government’ and ‘Whole-of-Society’ movement,” an official statement read.
