The timing of these meetings is particularly noteworthy as India recently assumed the Chairship of the Council of Member States of International IDEA for 2026. Under Gyanesh Kumar’s leadership, the ECI has intensified its “Electoral Diplomacy,” including training election officials from various nations and hosting international observers during the 2024 General Elections.
