The opposition INDIA bloc has shortlisted eight key issues on which it will corner the government during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, which begins on Monday.
According to Congress leader Pramod Tiwari, these issues were discussed during a virtual meeting held earlier in the day, attended by representatives from all 24 constituents of the INDIA bloc.

“All 24 constituents of the INDIA bloc attended the meeting and unanimously shortlisted a host of issues, of which eight will be raised with prominence,” Tiwari stated.
The prominent issues include the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, the Election Commission’s special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of brokering an India-Pakistan ceasefire, concerns over foreign policy, the demand for the restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, rising atrocities against women, problems faced by farmers, unemployment, and issues related to safety and security.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, along with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, attended the virtual meeting from New Delhi. Other constituent parties were represented by either their party chief or designated representatives.
The month-long Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to begin on Monday.
