The HPCL Rajasthan Refinery in Pachpadara (Balotara) is likely to start operations by the end of the year.
This optimism emerged at a ceremony held in Pachpadara on Sunday to inaugurate the Refinery Main Control Room(RMCR), graced by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardip Singh Puri.

Expressing satisfaction over progress in the ongoing works in various operational units, Chief Minister Sharma said, “This progress is the result of dedicated efforts made jointly by the Central and state governments in the past six months and I hope the refinery will start operations soon”.
Union Minister Puri also praised constant monitoring and follow-up on refinery’s ongoing works by the CM saying, “It may start operations by the end of the year.”
He said that the interest of the local job seeking youths would be safeguarded. For this a skill development facility is being set up for them.
After inaugurating the main control room, the CM and the Union minister launched the operator training simulator. They also switched on the pumping system using the control panel of crude distillation unit(CDU) and delayed coking unit(DCU).
They also inspected various units in the refinery complex and ongoing work therein.
