BJP woman leader attacked
The Kasba mandal president of BJP’s South Kolkata organisational district, Saraswati Sarkar, was allegedly attacked and hit on her head by some miscreants on Saturday night.
The Gujarat government is hiding from the people some vital documents which need to be presented along with the Budget papers in the state assembly.
This allegation was made here on Friday by former chief minister Suresh Mehta who had helmed the BJP Ministry in the state in 1995 after a rebellion by party maverick Sankersinh Vaghela had led to the fall of the BJP’s first ministry headed by Keshubhai Patel.
Mehta, aided by economist Prof Hemant Shah, said that the Budget is nothing without the supporting documents which the BJP ministry is allegedly hiding not only from the people but also from the elected members of the assembly.

The BJP ministry has not submitted four vital documents along with the Rs 3.01 lakh crore Budget presented in the assembly last week, they alleged.
Among the important documents not made public along with the Budget papers are Gender Budget and the past performance Budget, the former chief minister said.
The Gujarat Government has also violated its fiscal responsibility over the years as the state’s cumulative public debt has touched Rs 3.81 lakh crores, the former chief minister and the economist pointed out.
They regretted that even the main Opposition party legislators are unable to detect these fudging of Budget figures resorted to by the BJP ministry in Gujarat.
