GATE 2019: The last date for online registration process without late fee for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has been extended by a day.

The candidates should note that they can now apply till September 22, 2018 without paying any late fee. The candidates can apply through the official website –  http://gate.iitm.ac.in/

The candidates can apply online through GOAPS or GATE Online Application Processing System.

Earlier, the last date for online registration for GATE 2019 without late fee was September 21, 2018.

After September 22, the application fee for all candidates will be Rs 500 more. This year IIT-Madras is going to conduct the exam in two shifts.

SC/ST, PWD, Female candidates:  Rs 750

How to apply for GATE 2019 examination:

• Visit the official website of GATE,  http://gate.iitm.ac.in/

• Register yourself first as a new user using a valid email ID and a mobile number

• Log in to the account using your enrollment ID and password

• Next, fill in all the required details and finally upload photograph, signature and complete the payment process

• Finally, submit the application and take a print out for future reference.

This year, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct the entrance exam in two shifts on February 2, 3 and February 9 and 10, 2019.

Important information:

  • This year, GATE will be conducted on 24 subjects like Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering.
  • A new paper Statistics (ST) is also added in GATE 2019.
  • The validity of GATE 2019 score is three years after the announcement of the results.
