Despite being hospitalised for giddiness, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Tuesday was engaged with his administrative duties and closely following the implementation of the state-wide mass outreach programme “Ungaludan Stalin” (Stalin with You), delivering government services at the doorstep of the people through special camps in their localities.

The Chief Minister was admitted to the Apollo Hospitals on Monday after he complained of giddiness during his routine morning walk. After carrying out necessary tests, doctors have advised him to take rest for three more days at the hospital itself. Earlier in the day, he was shifted to the Hospital’s Teynampet campus for furthermore tests and brought back to the Greams Road Hospital, accompanied by his wife, Durga Stalin and son Udhayanidhi Stalin, Minister for Sports and Special Programmes Implementation.

Meanwhile, in a post on ‘X’, Stalin said he was carrying on his administrative work and is following the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ camps, obtaining the details of the number of petitions received and the grievances addressed till yesterday. “From the hospital, I am carrying out my official duties. Having enquired about the conduct of the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ programme, I have obtained the details of the number of petitions received and the action taken on them till yesterday from the Chief Secretary. I have instructed that there should be no slackness in resolving the the grievances,” he wrote.

‘Ungaludan Stalin’ is a 45-day special initiative with more than 10,000 camps spread across the state, held thrice a week in both urban and rural localities to deliver government services.

Speaking to the media, Udhaynidhi Stalin said that the Chief Minister is hale and hearty and would return home shortly.
