The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed former state Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh as Chief Executive Officer( CEO) of the State Transformation Commission for a three-year term.

An order issued by the Appointments Department recently stated that Singh has been nominated to assume charge of the commission in accordance with a notification issued by the State Planning Commission.

According to the order, he has been authorized to serve as the Chief Executive Officer for three years, based on his prior executive experience.

During this period, he will be provided with salary and all other benefits as per the rules.

Copies of the order issued by Principal Secretary Alok Kumar have been sent to the concerned departments, senior officials, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and various offices, including the Information Department, official here said on Saturday.

The government has directed that compliance with the order be ensured with immediate effect.
