As Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates the fourth anniversary of his coming to power on 26 May, Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy took the opportunity to pose a series of questions.

Chandy, who served as CM of the southern state twice, took to Twitter to demand answers from the 67-year-old Prime Minister on a host of issues ranging from black money to the Lokpal Bill.

He posted a series of 10 questions starting with the promise of bringing back black money stashed abroad made by the PM.

“Dear @narendramodi Ji, please be kind enough to answer a few questions I have for you at this very occasion where you complete 4 years as @PMOIndia,” Chandy wrote while posting his questions in a pictorial.

“As promised where is black money list stashed abroad and where is the 15 lakhs in accounts?” asked Chandy.

The former Kerala CM also raised the issue of the rising prices of petrol and the impact of demonetisation on the economy.

“When will we start getting petrol for Rs 40 promised by you? Did nation benefit out of demonetisation? Where is the economic growth you promised?” he asked.

Sticking to economics, Chandy also asked Modi about the strength of Rupee against the Dollar. “Please don’t forget to refer the same during UPA’s rule,” he quipped.

Chandy, who is the MLA from Puthuppally, Kottayam, also raised the red flag over the Modi’s flagship ‘make in India’ initiative while underlining the biggest hole in the claims of the Centre – job creation.

“What happened to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and how many job opportunities have you created out of it?” asked Chandy scathingly.

He also commented on the biggest campaign by the government – the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. While seeking information on the “current status of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, Chandy also brought up Varanasi being “named the second worst polluted city in recent surveys”.

Interestingly, Varanasi is the Prime Minister’s own Lok Sabha constituency.

“How did the corporates receive data from our Aadhar database? Where is the Lokpal Bill and what is the status of the anti-corruption movement?” were the two questions with which Chandy concluded.

The BJP is marking the fourth anniversary of Modi coming to power on 26 May.

In a post on Twitter, Modi thanked the people for their “unwavering faith” in his government. He also assured the nation that his government will always keep India first and continue to work for the development of the country.

On the other hand, the Congress is observing the day as “Vishwasghat Divas” accusing the Modi government of failing to fulfil pre-poll promises and misgovernance.
