Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Friday paid floral tributes to Maharaja Surajmal on the occasion of his 319th birth anniversary at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, along with Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht and Palam 360 Khap chief Chaudhary Surender Solanki.
“Maharaja Surajmal was not merely a ruler of his time, but a symbol of courage, strategic wisdom, and unwavering commitment to his people. His life continues to inspire generations,” said Gupta, while addressing the gathering on the occasion of the 319th birth anniversary of Maharaja Surajmal at the historic premises of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

Prior to his address, he paid floral tributes to Maharaja Surajmal. The occasion was graced by Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, MLA Surya Prakash Khatri, representatives of social organisations including the Kshetriya Gramin Manch, village heads from twelve villages, and other distinguished guests from Delhi and various parts of the country.

Addressing the gathering, Gupta described Maharaja Surajmal as a symbol of courage, strategic acumen, and steadfast dedication to his people. He observed that Maharaja Surajmal’s legacy transcends his era and continues to reflect values of unity, resilience, and responsible leadership.
Mohan Singh Bisht remarked that Maharaja Surajmal’s life exemplified courage, resilience, and dedication to public welfare. He emphasised that remembering such towering figures reinforces collective responsibility and inspires future generations to uphold the ideals of unity and service.
On the occasion, Surendra Solanki, President of Palam 360 said Maharaja Surajmal’s life is a unique example of courage, organisational strength, and public service, which needs to be conveyed to the new generation.
He requested that an event should be organised on his martyrdom day, that is December 25, at Delhi Assembly.
