Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed officials to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen.

“From housing to medical treatment, from a daughter’s education and marriage to pensions for destitute persons and senior citizens, the government has numerous schemes for every needy section of society. It should be ensured that all eligible individuals are assisted in applying for these schemes so that the intended benefits reach them,” the Chief Minister said during a Janata Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple.

The Chief Minister said the government is committed to ensuring that every eligible person receives the benefits of welfare schemes and that public grievances are addressed effectively. He urged people to avail themselves of the schemes and directed officials to extend all necessary assistance during the application process.

Referring the grievance applications received during the Janata Darshan to the concerned administrative and police officials, CM Yogi instructed them to ensure timely, impartial and satisfactory resolution of all issues.

He also directed officials to respond to public grievances with sensitivity and urgency.

As on previous occasions, several people approached the Chief Minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. Assuring them of support, CM Yogi said that no one’s treatment should stop due to a lack of funds.

He instructed officials to promptly prepare and submit estimates for advanced medical treatment for every needy patient. Once the estimates are received, the government will immediately release the required funds, he said.

During the Janata Darshan, a woman from Jaunpur alleged that an NGO had issued fake certificates and sought an investigation into the matter. The Chief Minister directed officials to conduct an inquiry and take appropriate action.

Taking note of complaints related to illegal land encroachment, he instructed the police to take strict action against any influential person found unlawfully occupying another person’s land.

The Chief Minister also spent some time with children who had accompanied their family members to the Janata Darshan. He encouraged them to focus on their studies, handed out chocolates and blessed them.

Later in the morning, he visited the temple’s gaushala and spent some time with the cattle, feeding them jaggery and rotis.

He also asked the staff to ensure their proper care.
