The Election Commission of India (ECI), led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, held a meeting on Tuesday with a delegation from the CPI(Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation), the poll panel said in a statement.

The delegation, led by the party’s authorised representative Sanjay Sharma, submitted its suggestions to the ECI at Nirvachan Sadan, Delhi.

The meeting was part of the Commission’s ongoing initiative to engage with various political parties to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections. The ECI regularly holds such consultations as part of its commitment to inclusive electoral governance.

Earlier, on July 17, the Commission met with a delegation from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), led by its Rajya Sabha member N.R. Elango, at Nirvachan Sadan, New Delhi.

The ECI’s outreach reflects its commitment to continually evolving the electoral ecosystem through dialogue, transparency, and cooperation.

Similar interactions were held with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), led by Party President Mayawati on May 6; the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by its President JP Nadda on May 8; and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), led by its State President Palla Srinivasa Rao on July 15.

The Election Commission has been engaging in structured dialogues with presidents and senior representatives of various national and state-level political parties to enhance the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

These interactions enable political parties to directly convey their views, concerns, and suggestions to the Commission, promoting a more participatory approach in election management and policy formulation.
