The political parties deregistered by the ECI include 29 from Lucknow, 17 from Varanasi, six from Ghaziabad, five each from Kanpur and Gautam Buddha Nagar, four each from Prayagraj, Deoria, and Bijnor, and three from Agra. The remaining districts have one or two political parties each.

The ECI’s recent action affected political parties across 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
