Uttar Pradesh Health Department’s largest Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) project, the Digital Doctor Clinic, is ready for the ground-breaking ceremony (GBC) on February 19 with its implementation in 18 districts in the first phase.

This project has been entrusted to the OBDU Group.

Through the introduction of a digital doctor clinic, now all residents in rural and remote areas will be able to receive medical treatment from MBBS doctors in their own village panchayat. The facility will include the provision for blood tests, available at a minimal cost of Rs 20.

The test reports will be immediately analysed by artificial intelligence, providing direct consultation to the consulting doctor. Patients will receive their reports within 3 minutes.

OBDU Digital Health Care Private Limited CEO Sanjay Kumar said here on Friday that his company was working to bring the Digital Doctor Clinic on ground, in compliance with government’s policies.

The Digital Doctor Clinic, is reportedly, is the first project in India to work on the principles of telemedicine, aiming to improve healthcare in villages and remote areas by incorporating telemedicine and the presence of a health-related employee on-site to strengthen the health system in rural areas.

Keeping the new generation in mind, the clinic aims to use high technology such as artificial intelligence and block chain to improve the health system in rural and remote areas and reduce the mortality rate during treatment due to the negligence of doctors.

The CEO said under the agreement with the UP government, the company had signed an MoU to invest Rs 350 crore in the first phase. Seeing the demand and success on the ground, the MoU has been increased to Rs 3,350 crore. Through the entire project, more than Rs 10,000 crore will be invested in the state.

From the perspective of employment, this project will provide 190,000jobs for the youth of the state as well as representative employment, he added.
