According to reports, agencies have received inputs that terrorists are planning to carry out suicide attacks, shootings and coordinated attacks.
Meanwhile, the security around BJP Headquarters at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and the saffron party’s Delhi unit office has also been intensified.
Earlier in November last year, at least 15 people were killed and around 20 others sustained injuries in a bomb blast near the Red Fort.
One of the members of the module, identified as Dr Umar-un-Nabi, allegedly drove an explosives-laden car near the Red Fort and exploded it.
The attack was carried out by a white collar terror module busted days before the attack in BJP-ruled Haryana’s Faridabad.
Dr Nabi was also part of the module but managed to escape when the fellow members were nabbed by Jammu and Kashmir police.
According to the latest intelligence inputs, the terrorists could also use vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices, similar to the Red Fort attack.
